ALL ABOUT COLOR CODING OF
RESISTORS
Carbon resistors are physically
small in size and color code is used to represent their value in ohms.
Color Code
Color     Value
Multiplier
Black
0          10
Brown
1          10¹

Red

2          10²
Orange
3         10³
Yellow
4          10

Green
5         10
Blue
6         10
Violet
7         10
Grey
8         10
White
9         10

Four types band are
used to represent values of resistor(left to right)
BAND FIRST=FIRST DIGIT
BAND SECOND=SECOND
DIGIT
BAND THIRD=MULTIPLIER
BAND FOURTH=TOLERANCE-
GOLDEN=5%,  SILVER=10,  NO BAND(….)=20%

  EXAMPLE=BAND

FIRST
SECOND   THIRD   FOURTH   VALUE OF R
1.Brown
red
red
silver                  12×10²Ω
  =1.2KΩ,10%

2.Yellow
violet       black
……                     47×10
  =47KΩ,20%

3.Grey
red
yellow    gold                    82×10
  =820KΩ,5%

NOTE-If any resistors have only three band(color) that means not have tolerance(fourth)band then take tolerance value 20%,also these types
resistor not use in design circuit
due to high deviation in value.
